Boston-area breastfeeding support groups

The #1 indicator of success for breastfeeding is…. SUPPORT. It’s not breast size. It’s your SUPPORT SYSTEM.

We know that it takes a VILLAGE to help a parent raise a baby.

That means adequate paid parental leave for working parents and partners, affordable childcare, and family/friends/caregivers in a close radius to make parenting sustainable.

However, many expecting parents do not have family closeby, or their parents are older or not around to help. Often times, parents have short parental leave options and are stressed about the expensive nature of childcare in the US. While there are certainly ways to improve the parental leave and childcare situation in the US, let’s start with some amazing local resources that can make up your village.

Below is a list of local in-person and virtual breastfeeding and parenting support groups in Massachusetts.
