Experienced postpartum doula and IBCLC candidate, Kathleen Stern, leads the hands-on Infant Feeding and Care Class. This class builds muscle memory and confidence for your baby’s (or babies’) arrival. Hands-on practice for feeding, soothing, swaddling, diapering, etc. Class participants receive concise info sheets and resources to keep. Class can be customized to your family’s needs.

3 hrs, $400 (at your home), $350 (virtual)

    • Breastfeeding, bottle feeding and pumping basics

    • Addressing common feeding challenges

    • How do we know baby when hungry?

    • How do we know baby is full? Or needs to burp?

    • What to do if baby is fussy or overtired?

    • Ways to bond

    • Strategies for dealing with colic and reflux

    • Hands-on practice burping, soothing, diaper changes, swaddling

    • Identifying newborn cues

    • Giving baby a bath

    • Safe sleep

    • Developmental milestones

    • Twins (if applicable)
