Lactation Education for Doulas

Are you a birth or postpartum doula, pelvic floor therapist, or other advocate in the perinatal space, looking to increase your knowledge about breastfeeding and lactation? Are you an agency owner looking to increase your team’s knowledge of lactation?

Lactation Education for Doulas is 2 hour virtual training that can be done in groups or individually. Length of session can be customized as needed.

Topics include:

  • First latch after birth

  • Signs of a good latch

  • What to expect in hospital

  • Hand expression

  • How often to feed

  • How much should be eat at one feeding?

  • How to increase milk supply

  • Baby hunger and fullness cues

  • Signs of adequate milk transfer

  • How to know baby is eating enough

  • When to refer to an IBCLC or other provider

  • Prenatal support and resources

$100 for individual, $50/person for groups of 3+, $25/person for groups of 5+
